Responsibilities / Position overview

The Associate Director Clinical Content’s principal responsibility is to ensure the accuracy, appropriateness, and strategic alignment of all evidence (publications, specific datapoints) included in client materials and Lumanity training presentations as well as maintain strengthen the internal account team’s clinical understanding of their respective brands.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develops an understanding and expertise regarding the disease state and associated treatments of an assigned account and awareness of key publications that can be used to support key unbranded and branded claims 
  • Teach, train and mentor more junior employees on the clinical team
  • Own and build relationships with a diverse range of clients
  • Attends planning and start-up meetings to offer strategic and scientific input
  • Participates and contributes in thought leadership initiatives
  • Creates outlines for new projects based on client objectives that are supported by peer-reviewed literature
  • Reviews all clinical and health economic content of projects for a given account to ensure data is represented accurately, presented efficiently, and is supported by the most valid evidence possible from high-quality peer-reviewed literature  
  • Provides direction and support to copywriters and editors regarding the development and implementation of all pieces containing clinical or HEOR content for the account 
  • Supports internal team through education on scientific concepts related to the disease state, product, and competitors  
  • Performs literature reviews to identify high quality evidence and publications for all client materials 
  • Supports the company with research and education for new business initiatives 

Qualifications

Education/Skills/Experience

  • 4-year college degree and advanced degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD) 
  • 3-5 years of advertising or communications agency experience
  • Managed markets experience required

 

Knowledge/Skills Requirements

  • Excellent research skills, understands clinical and observational study designs and can identify high-quality, valid evidence and primary references 
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a highly conscientious work style  
  • Professional demeanour and ability to function as a core member of a larger collaborative team 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills  
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively 
  • Familiarity with Excel and/or Tableau a plus

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $127,000-$150,000. The salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, skills, prior experience, professional qualifications, and other relevant factors.
