Responsibilities / Position overview

The Account Executive position is responsible for managing all aspects of medical communications projects from inception to completion, including  scientific platforms, key opinion leader (KOL) identification, advisory boards, live meetings and speaker training.  

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and thought leaders.
  • Ensure client expectations are met on all levels of program activity
  • Establish and maintain a strong knowledge of client organizations, products, disease states, and medical education.
  • Conduct meetings throughout the project life cycle (kick off, status meetings, reconciliation/closure).
  • Manage budgeting, financial monitoring and reconciliation of individual projects.
  • Schedule and conduct start-up, interim and final team meetings for each project, establish and maintain time and events schedules, and provide ongoing updates to client and team as required by account team on each initiative to ensure successful management and completion.
  • Owns the detail of daily account work on the project.
  • Oversee and facilitate development of all project activities, including faculty recruitment and ongoing communication, audience generation, content development, logistics and program materials.
  • Maintain and manage timely and professional written and verbal communications with clients, faculty members and internal team members.
  • Contribute to new business development activities within the account team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, life sciences, or relevant field
  • 1-3 years of experience as an accounts/client success professional for a promotional agency
  • Detail oriented and organized with a strong focus on customer service and client relationships.
